Time Card Guidelines

The time card is a legal document. Please fill in your time card completely before obtaining the signature of your supervisor.

You are responsible for completing your time card properly and submitting it on time. Incomplete or late time cards may result in delayed or inaccurate payment of wages.

  • Lunch is unpaid. You are required by law to take at least 30 minutes of lunch on days that you work six hours or more.
  • As of January 2000, employees are eligible for overtime pay after completing 8 hours in a work day and after 40 hours in a week. Please indicate all overtime clearly. Do not work overtime unless you have received approval from your supervisor to do so.
  • You may not make up lost work time by eliminating a lunch or break or by working overtime!
  • Please mail your time card "original"--the white copy--to Hallmark on a weekly basis. We need these copies for our records and for billing purposes.
